Custom markups

Custom markups can be applied manually when the default markup is not appropriate for a specific repair order service.

For example, the default 20% wholesale markup was automatically applied to a repair order part, but if for this specific customer it should be only 10%, you can update it manually.

  • On the ‘Part Details’ view, click the ‘Calculator’ button next to the ‘Price’ field.

  • Specify the vendor price, custom markup rate/type, and then click the ‘Apply’ button.

  • Check the selling price calculated based on the custom markup.

Note You can also apply a custom markup simply by updating the marked-up price but in this case, you need to do the calculations.

Important! Custom markups depend on the ‘Allow overriding the marked-up price’ setting.

1. If the ‘Allow overriding the marked-up price’ setting is turned OFF...

...then the ‘Override Markup’ checkbox is disabled...

...and if you apply a custom markup...

...the custom markup will be automatically overridden by default markup if the vendor price changes.

2. If the ‘Allow overriding the marked-up price’ setting is turned ON...

...you can select the ‘Override Markup’ checkbox...

...and if you apply a custom markup, the custom markup will NOT be automatically overridden if the vendor price changes.
