A generic service is a service with a generalized name that you can clarify when adding this service to inspections and work orders. One generic service can replace multiple services of the same kind and help you avoid a long list of typical services.
For example, if your service list includes such services as “R&I Bumper”, “R&I Wheel”, “R&I Hood”, etc., you can replace them by creating just one generic service “R&I”. When you add this generic service to inspections and work orders, it can be automatically renamed based on your clarification, that is typing a clarification text or selecting a vehicle part.
