Labor services are services which amount is calculated as labor rate multiplied by labor time.

Important! The Labor Services feature must be turned on.

Tip On the Services page there is a special tab “Labor” on which you can see, add, edit, and delete labor services in a convenient manner. When you add a labor service on the Labor tab, the Labor price type is already selected.

Note Labor rate is set per hour and may vary from service to service, for example, you can set $40 per hour for the Body Labor service and $50 per hour for the Frame Labor service.

You can configure a default labor time and industry standard labor time:

  • Default labor time is an average time which is calculated based on your own experience.

  • Industry standard labor time is an average time which is automatically calculated based on selected panel and part for particular vehicle’s make, model, and year.

To configure a default labor time

  • Enter the appropriate time value in the Default Labor Time box.

To configure industry standard labor time

  • Select the Use Labor Times check box, and then select the appropriate operation in the Operation box.

Notes

If you select a particular operation in the Operation box, other operations will not be shown when you select a panel and part for this service in mobile app.

If you select (All) in the Operation box, all available operations will be shown when you select a panel and part for this service in mobile app.

Whether a default labor time or industry standard labor time is set for a labor service in Back Office, you can always update it with an actual labor time when you add this labor service to inspections or work orders in mobile app.
