Turn on technician auto-assignment to started phases or services

You can turn on the Auto-Assign Tech from Start phase setting in the Back Office application so that when a technician starts a phase or service in the mobile app, this technician will be automatically assigned to this phase or service

  • On the Monitor tab, click Repair Locations, and then on the Repair Locations page, click the Phases link in the Phases column next to the appropriate repair location. 

  • On the Phases page, click Edit next to the appropriate phase. 

  • Select the Start Service Required check box, the Auto-Assign Tech from Start phase setting, and then click OK.

Now when a technician starts a service or phase (depends on the Do Not Track Individual Service Statuses setting), it is automatically assigned to this technician.

Note Services assigned to a default technician will not be auto-assigned to technicians that start them.
