You can select a paint code for a vehicle when you create or edit a service request, an inspection, or a work order.

Required Subscriptions:

  • Features: Paint Codes Support

Note The Paint Code field is shown if the Color field is set as visible in the Vehicle Info settings in the Back Office application.

Important! The list of paint codes is available only if the vehicle’s make, model, and year have been specified.

  • On the Vehicle screen, tap the right arrow in the Paint Code field, and then on the Colors screen, tap the appropriate paint code.

When you select a paint code, the Color field is automatically populated with the color that corresponds to the paint code.

Tip You can tap Copy next to the paint code to copy the paint code to the clipboard if you want to paste it in another app.

If the list of available paint codes is long, you can find the paint code by searching the code or color name.

If the needed paint code is not in the list, you can enter it into the Paint Code field.

Note In this case the Color field is not automatically populated with the appropriate color.

On the Colors screen you can switch from the list of available paint codes to the list of available colors, and back.

If you select a color after selecting a paint code, selected paint code will be cleared.

If you select a paint code after selecting a color, selected color will be overridden.

Selected paint code is shown in the print preview on the Summary screen, if the appropriate option is turned on for assigned print template in the Back Office application.
