Fee Bundles (User Guide)

Fee bundles are used to automatically add waste disposal fees to work orders. For example, repair shops can charge customers for disposing of their old tires after installing a new set. This fee covers the repair shop's cost for the private service that picks up old tires and properly disposes of them.

Let’s say that your repair shop offers such services as changing ‘Oil’ and ‘Oil Filter’, and you want to charge your customers for oil and oil filter disposal.

To set up a fee bundle for that purpose, you need to do the following:

1. Ask AMT customer support to turn on the ‘FeeBundles’ feature for your application.

2. Create services with the ‘Money’ and/or ‘Percentage’ price type that will represent the waste disposal fees, for example, the ‘Oil Disposal Fee’ service with the $2.00 price and the ‘Filter Disposal Fee’ service with the $1.00 price.

3. Create a service package with the ‘Fee Bundle’ type, for example, the ‘Oil Change Fee Bundle’ package.

4. Add the ‘Oil Disposal Fee’ service and the ‘Filter Disposal Fee’ service as items to the ‘Oil Change Fee Bundle’ package.

5. Assign the ‘Oil Disposal Fee’ package item to the ‘Oil’ service and the ‘Filter Disposal Fee’ package item to the ‘Oil Filter’ service.

6. Create the ‘Oil Change Fee Bundle’ service with the ‘Fee Bundle’ price type and assign it to the ‘Oil Change Fee Bundle’ package in the ‘Fee Bundle’ field. Note: You need to add this service to the service package assigned to the appropriate work order type.

Now, when mobile app users add the ‘Oil’ and ‘Oil Filter’ services to a work order, the work order amount automatically increases by $3.00 ($2.00 for oil disposal fee and $1.00 for filter disposal fee)

Note These services can be added to the work order as separate services, price matrix additional services, or bundle service items.

Important! The amount calculation of fee bundle items with the ‘Money’ price type depends on their price policy:

  • Fee bundle item with the ‘Vehicle’ price policy is added to the work order amount only once, no matter how many times the associated service is added to the work order.

  • Fee bundle item with the ‘Service’ or ‘Flat Fee’ price policy is added to the work order amount depending on how many times the associated service is added to the work order.

  • Fee bundle item with the ‘Panel’ price policy is added to the work order amount depending on how many times the associated service with a selected vehicle part is added to the work order.
