Catalog default settings

You can now configure default settings that are automatically applied to catalog items without custom settings.

Tip You can turn on the ‘Show only custom overrides’ option to filter out catalog items with default settings and see only catalog items with custom settings.

MOTOR car-specific parts catalogs for repair bundles

You can assign a service with the ‘Repair Bundle’ price type to the ‘MOTOR car-specific parts’ catalog that includes only parts specific for the given vehicle.

When you add a repair bundle to the repair order, you can find the necessary part and select the appropriate labor time for its replacement.

MOTOR car-specific labor catalogs

You can assign a service with the ‘Labor’ and the ‘Repair Bundle’ price types to the ‘MOTOR car-specific labor’ catalog that includes only labor specific for the given vehicle.

When you add a repair bundle or labor to the repair order, you can find the necessary labor and select the appropriate time for it.

Adding batches of different parts and supplies from the same vendor

We have added the ‘Add Batch’ button to the ‘Parts Inventory’ page so now you can add multiple batches of different parts or supplies ordered from the same vendor.

On the ‘Add Batch from Vendor’ view, you can specify a date, PO#, and status of the parts and/or supplies that you want to add. The total amount will be calculated automatically.

  • Click Add Part to find and add one or multiple parts.

  • Specify the details of the selected parts, and click Save.

  • Click Add Supply to find and select one or multiple supplies. Tip: You can click Add New if no supply has been found.

  • Specify the details of the selected parts, and click Save.

Catalog improvements

We have made some improvements for the ‘Catalog Item’ view so now you can:

  • Select a skill for the ‘Sublet’ repair operation

  • See the ‘Parts’ section, if applicable

  • See the ‘Price’ and ‘Quantity’ fields when the following repair operations are selected:

    • Conventional Repair / R&R ($)

    • Repair and Refinish ($)

Set a final status for unfinished services when closing repair orders

Now when you close a repair order, you can select a final status for each unfinished service and part or skip all uncompleted services and parts.

Don’t allow linking parts with existing documents

We have added the ‘Don’t allow linking parts with existing documents’ to the ‘Parts Management’ add-on settings.

If the new setting is turned on, you cannot add a part document with an existing number.
