Use ‘work completion’ date as invoice date

We added a new option called ‘Work Completed’ to the ‘Date Mode’ setting of invoice types.

Here is how the ‘Date Mode’ setting works:

  • If the ‘Draft Mode’ checkbox is not selected, the ‘Date Mode’ is disabled, and the date when an invoice was created is considered the invoice date.

  • If the ‘Draft Mode’ checkbox is selected, the ‘Date Mode’ is enabled, and you can select one of the following date modes:

  • ‘Create’ means that the date when an invoice was created is considered the invoice date.

  • ‘Final’ means that the date when an invoice was saved as ‘Final’ is considered the invoice date.

  • ‘Work Completed’ means that the invoice date is the latest date when:

  • The status of a work order included in the invoice changes to ‘Closed’, or

  • The state of a repair order included in the invoice changes to ‘Completed’

Note The ‘Date Mode’ setting is available when the ‘InvoiceDateMode’ feature is enabled.
